Flu Vaccination Update: What to Do While Waiting for the Next Batch (Arriving March 2026)

  • Feb 11
  • 2 min read

At Legacy Medical Practice, we’ve seen a strong demand for flu vaccinations this season. We thank you for your trust.

We’d like to share a quick update:

👉 Our current flu vaccine stock is fully utilised.

👉 Our next batch is expected to arrive in March 2026.

In the meantime, here’s how you and your family can stay protected while waiting.

Why Flu Vaccination Still Matters

Influenza is not just a “bad cold”.

It can lead to complications such as chest infections and pneumonia, especially in:

  • Young children

  • Elderly patients

  • Pregnant women

  • Those with chronic conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes, heart disease)

Annual flu vaccination remains the most effective way to reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalisation.

If you missed this round, don’t worry. Getting vaccinated when the next batch arrives is still beneficial.

How to Protect Yourself While Waiting for the Next Flu Jab

While vaccines are temporarily unavailable, simple daily habits make a big difference:

  1. Practise good hand hygiene

Wash hands regularly or use hand sanitiser, especially after being outdoors or in crowded places.

  1. Rest and hydrate well

Adequate sleep and hydration support your immune system more than most people realise.

  1. Avoid close contact when unwell

If you’re sick, stay home where possible and wear a mask when out to reduce spread.

  1. Seek medical care early

See a doctor if you or your child has:

  • Fever lasting more than 2–3 days

  • Worsening cough or sore throat

  • Shortness of breath or chest discomfort

  • Lethargy or poor feeding in children

Early assessment helps prevent complications.

We’ll Update You When Flu Vaccines Are Back

Our next shipment is expected in March 2026.

If you’d like to be notified when flu jabs are available again, feel free to contact our clinic team, we’ll be happy to keep you informed.

How Legacy Medical Practice Can Support You

Even without the flu jab right now, we continue to provide:

  • Assessment of flu-like symptoms

  • Treatment for viral and respiratory infections

  • Family-friendly GP care for adults and children
